For over twenty years, Follyfoot Farm by Busy Bees on the Central Coast has provided children with an enriched learning environment, saturated in experiences that promote maximum growth for each child in beautiful natural surroundings. Our purpose-built “sister” day care, Follyfoot Farm Juniors, is located next door catering to children from 0-3 years, with our original Follyfoot Farm preschool catering exclusively for children aged 3-5 years. Both of our Central Coast child care centres provide the same high-quality education and care, with a shared vision and philosophy.
Emily Fleming and Sarah Morrison are the appointed Service Managers at Follyfoot Farm and Follyfoot Farm Juniors and together bring many years of commitment and experience in Early Learning. Emily and Sarah are supported by a team of 50 Teaching Practitioners and Educators across both Follyfoot Farm and Follyfoot Farm Juniors, offering a total of 187 spaces for children. Located in a very pretty tree-lined rural road, the centres are situated on three lush acres with easy access to local residents and commuters travelling along Enterprise Drive, Fountaindale.
At Follyfoot Farm, a passionate team of Educators come together to create an early learning environment that emphasises values of respect, kindness, empathy and connection. These values are primarily fostered through access to our unique farmyard setting.
The children are offered opportunities to feed our animals and help look after their habitats on a daily basis. It is considered important that all children are provided the opportunity to participate in the care of the service animals and the platform this provides for developing their social awareness is limitless.
At Follyfoot Farm we recognise that it’s not just about caring for the animals, but caring for their habitats also. The children at our Central Coast day care help to maintain the animal’s homes and enclosures, and as they do so they are learning about the impact human activity has on the natural world. This is an important value to embed in young children, it is the crux of sustainability. What better way to impart such a value than caring for animals and the spaces within which they live?
The responsibility which is placed on the children to help care for and maintain the animals and their environments, allows the children to develop a sense of autonomy. They are learning skills which promote independence. This expectation also encourages a sense of ownership over our day care community which builds confidence and belonging to the environment.

Assistant Service Manager
Hi, my name is Amanda Nichols and I am the Assistant Service Manager at Follyfoot Farm by Busy Bees.
I have a Bachelor of Education and have worked in Early Childhood Education for over 15 years, in a variety of different roles. I wholeheartedly believe that early education lays the foundation for children’s lifelong learning and development.
I am passionate about children enjoying their childhood and learning through play as happy and engaged children are curious and ready to learn. This is why I fell in love with Follyfoot Farm the moment I arrived. It’s a unique childcare centre that provides children with the space and opportunity to explore different natural environments, fostering and extend their learning.
The continuity of our Educators is something we are very proud of, and the fact that many have been employed at Follyfoot Farm for well over 15 years is a testament to the happy working environment provided. As a team, we strive to ensure that each person who walks through the door feels connected to our Service and feels a sense of belonging to the space. We endeavour to provide a Service where feedback and open communication is encouraged and valued.
I welcome you to drop in at any time to find out more about our Central Coast childcare and the high-quality education and care we offer.
The outdoor area is the biggest I have ever seen at a preschool and the farm area is just beautiful. I wouldn't send my son anywhere else.
I would not hesitate to recommend the care and facilities provided. We are proud to be part of the Follyfoot Farm family.
They keep us well informed about what has happened during the day and how our little ones are coping. They do some of the most amazing activities and with the farm onsite the kids have the best days! Couldn’t recommend them more!
Their operational procedures and policies are second to none, giving me confidence that my children are always safe and well looked after. The incredible little farm, massive playground and delicious home cooked meal are all just the icing to the cake of this premium service.
The educators and manager have been so very supportive to the children and I. They have always eased my mind when the children have needed extra TLC for various reasons and especially when my babies first started there and I had natural ‘mummy anxiety’ when I returned to work. The staff were always happy to receive my calls and let me know what a lovely day the kids were having. The centre sends videos, photos and curriculum updates letting me know how the children develop as they learn and play at the centre. Both children have made beautiful friendships with both peers and educators, and Follyfoot Farm has always been a happy safe place for them. I highly recommend this service.
The staff are so welcoming and both my children and I have established lasting friendships with the staff far beyond the front gate — I call them our 2nd family. They are genuine, caring and dedicated educators with beautiful hearts. There is such a humbling community spirit within the walls of the centre. The farm is an extraordinary learning environment in conjunction with their sustainability initiatives, animal foster programs and dedicated outdoor hands on learning. This is an early education centre like no other. We are so fortunate to have been a part of the Follyfoot Farm family. Highly recommend every single aspect without hesitation!
